Rather than focusing on the conditions for advancing a specific project, the conversation centered on how the Korean and Kenyan governments view climate action, expanded energy access, and development cooperation. The participants also discussed how the two countries' broader policy directions could connect with climate and energy projects in the field, and the role that trustworthy data could play in that process.

Samton introduced its solar mini-grid-based Samton-DMRV PoC being prepared in Samburu, northern Kenya. The discussion also covered the potential for DMRV—which continuously collects field data such as electricity generation and consumption and connects them to verifiable mitigation outcomes—to serve not only as a project performance-management system but also as a data foundation for future bilateral climate-technology and development-cooperation initiatives.

The meeting was not an official agreement or formal policy consultation. It nevertheless provided an opportunity to view the DMRV demonstration being prepared in Samburu within the broader context of climate and energy cooperation between Korea and Kenya.

Samton will continue to consider both the policy directions of the two countries and needs on the ground, while refining a demonstration model that can connect data collected in Samburu with tangible climate outcomes and sustainable cooperation.
